The Turbine flowmeter (axial turbine) was invented by Reinhard Woltman and is an accurate and reliable flowmeter for liquids and gases. It consists of a flow tube with end connections and a magnetic multi-bladed free spinning rotor (impeller) mounted inside; in line with the flow.   Turbine meters are simple to operate and maintain, and are used worldwide as a reliable, cost-effective method for accurate flow measurement. Turbine flow meters are designed to maximize overall and minimize pressure drop, maintain high flow rates over an extended flow range, and provide pulse output that is linear to the flow rate.
